| Learning about Special Education has helped me to understand more about how a teacher can approach the diversity of disabilities in the classroom. This paper is designed to let other teachers know about PKU, and what to expect from a student with PKU. What I learned through my research really helped me to understand how students differ physically as well as how they "differ in their approaches to learning." The paper will hopefully help other teachers to understand how they can better create instructional opportunities for students with PKU. |

| This is a curriculum plan for 6th-12th grades. It lays out exactly what would be taught each week, and so it helps the teacher to align the class to the standards. It also helps the school leaders to understand what is going on in the classroom, and why certain things are being taught. |
